Tomsk Discovery Game (15. 2. 2015)

Buddy Building Club pro nás na dnešek nachystal týmovou hru, jejímž cílem bylo seznámit se s centrem Tomsku. Byli jsme rozděleni do pěti týmů a každý tým dostal sadu otázek s mapou, na které byly vyznačené oblasti, kterých se otázky týkali. Takhle jsme za celou hru vyměnili tři mapy a tři sady otázek. Já jsem byla ve skupince s Nasťou z Ruska, Katarinou z Itálie, Annou z Finska a Bo z Číny. Nasťa není z TPU, ale z jiné univerzity, jenže na jiných univerzitách není tolik zahraničních studentů jako na TPU (a když tam náhodou jsou, tak jsou většinou z Číny a neumí ani pořádně rusky, anglicky už vůbec). Proto se připojila k BBC TPU, aby si procvičila angličtinu, kterou teď studuje na magistrovi, na bakaláři měla jako hlavní studijní program němčinu. Dost mě překvapilo, že spousta studentů na TPU studuje humanitní obory – například Bo a Katarina studují ruský jazyk a literaturu.
Cestou jsme se seznámili s různými Tomskými tradicemi – kousek od hlavní budovy TPU je bílá socha, na které máte namalovat nějakou šmouhu na lýtko, pokud zdárně dokončíte své studium. Jo a děti zde nenosí čáp, ale rodí se ze zelí (před místní nemocnicí je socha nově narozeného chlapečka lezoucího ze zelí).







Tři nohy, jedna ruka.




Na jednom z Tomských náměstí – Ново-Соборная площадь - můžete každý rok najít krásné sochy z ledu. Toto místo také slouží jako jakési hřiště pro děti – viděla jsem tam asi dvě skluzavky, nějaké domečky atd. Kdybych uměla zpívat, tak bych si tam někdy večer šla zazpívat Let it go, protože tam by to mělo tu správnou atmosféru.

Hra končila na kolejích A. Ivanovy, kam jsme dorazili mezi prvními. Ještě jsme tam zodpověděli několik kulturně-zeměpisných otázek o Rusku – za správné odpovědi vděčíme především humanitní části našeho týmu (Anna studuje ve Finsku materiály, tady ekonomiku). Výsledky celé soutěže se dozvíme až v úterý na Welcome party.

Finding an apartment in Daejeon

I have many stories about which I want to write here, be patient. 😁 A lot happened during this winter break. How Laura almost became homeless

Well, you already know that Jorge got married. But what you don't know, is that on our way to Seoul, I made a short stop with Laura in her village where she's going to study her master's degree. You see, I am making fun of her all the time, because of the fact that she's going to live in countryside, but actually she will live like 15 minutes on bike from Daiso (unfortunately, Laura says that it's small 😓) and Homeplus. So that's not really a countryside, because these are the most important things you need for a happy life in Korea. Well, and Costco (Laurita, you need to visit me and Azizbek in Daejeon 😁)!
